Lollipop Academy is an exciting new class designed to help young individuals, who are on our waiting list, prepare for their journey into Lollipop Youth Theatre. The Academy provides a welcoming environment where the young people can meet our staff, create friendships, build confidence, and develop theatre skills—all while having fun in preparation for joining Lollipop Youth Theatre. Once  places become available, the children will move from the Academy into the Youth Theatre.

Lollipop Academy focuses on creating a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for children interested in the performing arts. Our program is tailored for young people who are starting their theatre journey, providing them with a more intimate setting, giving them opportunities to explore their creativity. During sessions, participants will engage in a variety of activities, including:

1. Theatre Workshops: These workshops will cover essential skills such as acting techniques, singing and voice projection, stage craft, improvisation and lots more. Children will have the opportunity to work on scenes, monologues, and character development.

2. Team-Building Exercises: Activities designed to foster teamwork and collaboration among participants will help children make new friends and feel more comfortable in a group setting.

3. Confidence Building: Through fun games and performance opportunities, children will build self-esteem and learn to express themselves more freely, both on and off the stage.

4. Meet the Staff: Children will get to know our experienced instructors, who are dedicated to nurturing young talent and guiding them through their theatre journey.

As participants grow and feel confident, they will be well-prepared to transition into Lollipop Youth Theatre, where they can further develop their skills and take part in larger productions.

Lollipop Academy takes place on Friday evenings during term time from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Perdiswell Young People's Leisure Club. The monthly fee is £25, which will be invoiced at the beginning of each month.
