Lollipop Youth Theatre is an inclusive theatre company based in Worcester for young people aged between five and nineteen. Lollipop is run by a team of volunteers who have experience and qualifications in teaching and Performing Arts. With 100 members Lollipop meets weekly throughout the year and only break for two weeks in December. 

 

Full cast rehearsals take place once a week at Worcester Porcelain Works on Saturday Mornings.

Saturday Rehearsal Times:  

Juniors- - 10am-12pm

Seniors- 12pm-2pm

Extra Rehearsal Times:

Principal cast rehearse on Wednesday or Thursday evenings

at Perdiswell Young Peoples Leisure Club : 7pm-9pm

Lollipop trains their members in all aspects of theatre. The young people are trained in singing, acting and dancing. They are also taught about staging a show and learn about the different roles in a theatre. Each member gets the opportunity to perform in two or more shows a year at The Norbury Theatre in Droitwich. Lollipop isn't just about performing though. We facilitate for every child's needs by encouraging everyone to go that extra mile in order to build  confidence, self esteem, and self belief. In order to do this we don't ask the members to audition to be in the company but we run several group workshops which allows the production team to see the child's strengths and weaknesses in a relaxed atmosphere.
